Fattoria Del Colle is a tranquil oasis in the Chianti region of Tuscany. It is the family estate of Donatella Cinelli Colombini, the award-winning entrepreneur of Il Casato Prime Donne, the only all-female-owned winery in Italy. Donatella’s ancestors first owned land in the Montalcino area in the 16th century and Cinelli Colombini inherited the estate from her mother in 1990. The vintners are all women, and the wine is made on and around the estate of Fattoria Del Colle.
You are not only invited to walk among the vineyards but also to take a wine tour and enjoy these wines with each meal. The heart of the estate is a 16th-century villa and chapel, an award-winning restaurant, Osteria di Donatella, and a wellness center (which you are invited to use). The veranda holds a large dining room with spectacular views of the vineyards and the medieval village of Trequanda.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Fattoria Del Colle is a tranquil oasis in the Chianti region of Tuscany where you can enjoy vinotherapy, swimming pools (open May 15-October 15), hiking, and an excursion to the hilltop town Pienza! Retreat guest rooms are private bedrooms with shared bathrooms in unique, cozy apartment suites. Each farmhouse apartment has one or two bedrooms, a sitting room with a kitchenette, at least one bathroom with shower, and central heating. The furniture includes antiques and old paintings as well as comfortable modern pieces in the sitting rooms. All the apartments have Wi-Fi, and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and onsite laundry is available. Spending time in these lovely farmhouse apartments in Tuscany enriches both body and mind.

FOOD & WINE
Fattoria Del Colle is the family estate of Donatella Cinelli Colombini, who is a celebrity in Tuscany and the award winning entrepreneur of the only all-female owned winery in Italy, where they produce the memorable Brunello wine. Donatella’s ancestors first owned land in the Montalcino area in the 16th century, and recent generations have passed property down the female line. When Cinelli Colombini inherited the estate from her mother in the late 1990s, she went in search of a female staff at Siena’s oenology school. The vintners are all women, as is the winemaker, a unique situation in Italy, a flagship for women in the wine business.
The winery, Il Casato Prime Donne makes their wine on and around the estate of Fattoria Del Colle, and you will not only get to walk among the vineyards, but take a wine tour, and drink these wines with dinner. The distinctive element of the wine is its elegance: red harmonies able to last in time.

As you sit at the white linen lined tables and sip your organic local wine, you’ll appreciate the healthy, regional, food from the in-house chef of an award winning restaurant. You’ll feel cherished by the warm hospitality of the wait staff as they serve seasonal Tuscan food and healthful Italian meals for lunch and dinner.
Every dish is prepared with care and with excellent ingredients: fresh vegetables from the estate gardens, Chianina meats, and white truffles from the Crete Senesi.

On retreat, you’ll have breakfast, lunch & dinner prepared by the on-site chefs and they can absolutely accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, or dairy-free dietary restrictions.
WELLNESS SPA
On retreat, you will have access to the wellness center at Fattoria del Colle which offers a breathtaking view of the Val d’Orcia and Crete Senesi – Tuscany. In the wellness center there is a Turkish bath, sauna, relaxation room, and sensorial shower. The massage room and the vinotherapy cave, with its juniper wood tub, are known for their detoxifying qualities and magical elixirs. The Casato Prime Donne wines are used for bathing in and for cosmetics such as grape dust, saline wine face scrub, massage wine serum, all of which contain rejuvenating essences. All contain healing energy from the ancient land that surrounds the estate.
We’ll also have a massage therapist on site so you can give yourself the added support of nourishing touch during your retreat.
